FIRE EVACUATION AT SCHOOL!

Hello everybody. We have breaking news to tell you...
Last week we had an evacuation when the fire alarm started to ring suddenly. This was not a false alarm, it was real!!!
What happened???? Well, the thing is that, during the chemistry workshop in the hall presented by older university students, smoke was produce by mistake. During an experiment the smoke rose up and activated the fire alarm.
All the students followed the teachers´instructions perfectly and lined up in order to evacuate. Some children got scared and felt worried about it but there was no danger at all.

We ´turned´this surprise experience into a ´teaching moment´ so that the students could remain calm in the classroom when we came back.

Today, 10th of February, is the celebration of the New year in Asia. The year 7412!!!!!!!!

People join togheter with family and friends to have wonderful meals, sing, watch the fireworks all over the countries.

Gun hay fat choy is a expression they use ( in cantonese Chinese) and there is a wonderful song with a nice dance that children do when theses special dates are coming.

In 3rd and 4th grades, pupils not only have learnt the lyrics od the song, but also the dancing!!

Moreover, did you know that every year is dedicated to an animal? this year is te year of the horse!!

If you want to know which animal "are" you, you can do it by checking the chinese calendar, where different years belong to some animals. I´m a horse, and you?????
